Where are the faxes stored on the computer? I want to make sure the images are backed up every day. I did not see any .bmp files, so I assume that it is a different file type … ?

A:
Yes, the fax image files are stored in an internal format (not .bmp) at Program Files\ActiveFax\Server\Faxlist. Regarding backups, I would recommend to make a complete backup of the Program Files\ActiveFax directory on the fax server ( see http://www.activefax-distribution.com/afewbb/thread.php?threadid=3&sid= )

How can I backup all ActiveFax data

Q:
I need to do a backup of my activefax faxes-the datastore or the database of the faxes. Where can I find this datastore so I can back it up, or move the server to another PC while saving the data?

A:
To do a backup of the ActiveFax data files and configuration settings, make a backup of the complete ActiveFax installation directory (usually C:\Program Files\ActiveFax) with all subdirectories. All settings and data of the ActiveFax installation are saved that way. To restore a backup, just restore the files from the backup media.
