Modem locked

Q:
My fax system keeps getting locked up when sending out a fax on one of my phone lines can you please help me and tell me what I can do to keep this from happening again. This has been happening several times a week and the only way I can get it from being locked up is shutting down my server but we have doc on our Terminal Service and I can not keep doing that.

This sounds like a hardware or driver problem with the modem. Which modem are you using on that system? I would recommend to make sure that the latest drivers for the modem are installed and if possible, I would also recommend to replace the modem with a different model to see if this fixes the problem.

Brooktrout fax boards

When using Brooktrout fax boards (i.e. TR114, TR1034 or Trufax series), it is recommended to install the Brooktrout drivers before you install.

Since Brooktrout itself does not offer any drivers for their products, the drivers are available for free by sending an email to us.
