bad quality when sending faxes

Q:
I installed demo of activefax server. Now I can send & receive faxes. Received faxes quality is best but when I send faxes to my partners, faxes look like, if I first printed at Epson dot-printer, then fax through simple analog fax. Why is the resolution of faxes so bad? And what do I need to do to improve quality of sending faxes?

Can you please try to send a normal Winword or Wordpad document to the ActiveFax printer and send that document by fax to see if quality is ok with such documents. A possible reason for bad quality could be colors used in the orginal document, so the applications rasters the fax image to simulate colors.

Print faxes automatically, print sending report

The automatic printing function can be configured to either print the complete fax message in original format or as a sending report.

The sending report is made up of status information of the fax transmission and a pre-view of the first pages of the fax message printed on a single sheet of pa-per.

The number of fax pages printed on the sending report can be configured with the menu Extras / Options in the Printing tab.
